While at Bald Rock I noticed bad weather moving in. This is a 3 second exposure capturing lightning strikes over Greenville, SC. The foreground shows graffiti lit with my flashlight. While I am not a fan of graffiti in natural settings, my goal was to make something beautiful with things I can't control. Shot in total darkness, the light is gathered by the long exposure, and my wide angle lens help to keep focus near and far. Looking closely at the middle horizon near the tree line you see Table Rock as well as Pinnacle Mountain the highest mountain in South Carolina. Fashion with Passion!Fashion with Passion… Had a blast working with my models Gwen and Olivia at Taylors Mill in Taylors South Carolina. With hair and make up provided by the talented Melissa Aubil of Cotton Rouge and company these girls looked amazing. Here we see Gwen rocking the Steam Punk look and owning her pose. I also enlisted two off camera lighting assistants and a fashion consultant. It was great to work with such a talented team and get photos that capture this historic setting. Bad Weather Makes Good Pictures
With Hurricane Matthew providing the wind and Emily and Aaron providing the love, this was one awesome wedding! A beautiful service at The Chapel at The Cliffs at Glassy followed by a way cool brunch reception at The Grove At Pennington these two did it up right and were so fun to work with. And the weather provided the perfect backdrop for this photograph made at the top of the Cliffs at Glassy Mountain, SC. Grandmother's Love
As a photographer, I am allowed access to private and intimate moments. Sadly the Bride's Grandmother had lost her husband just days earlier. This photograph captures her strength and shows the love she has for her granddaughter to attend the wedding as a family member holds her hand.
Portraits of Musicans
I love working with musicians. They have the confidence and personality that make great portraits. Here Billy Strings poses in afternoon light in front of a vintage Ford truck at the Albino Skunk Music Festival in Greer, SC last week.
